We’ve had a wonderful time in and around Pucón and in particular, at our wooden cabin buried deep in the forest and facing the imposing Volcán Villarrica – the photo below was taken right in front of the cabin at sunset the other day.
We both woke up in the middle of the night with a full moon beaming down on the cabin, but no ordinary moon for we caught the Super Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse just at the right time, around 2.30am and, due to its dark red appearance, the Milky Way swirled particularly bright in the night sky – a spectacular sight and a fitting end to our time here in this amazing region of Chile.
It’s time to leave and drive 4 hours south to Puerto Montt, overnight and head towards Buenos Aires via a one-night pit-stop in Santiago.
