Guelaguetza – Mondays on the Hill – 3

For lunch we stumbled upon an amazing restaurant specialising in local cuisine and, in particular, the art of the mole (not the furry kind). ‘Tierra Del Sol’ – if you ever find yourself in Oaxaca, then we can totally recommend two dishes that are so delicious we’ll be back for more, Tlayuda Oaxaqueña con Frijol y Quesillo accompanied with Chiles de Agua (ground and mixed at your table by the waiter). And then for me, Mole Mixteco (photo included) which was an incredibly rich and complex chocolate dark mole poured over a tender breast of chicken. All I can say is… Una cerveza mas por favor!
