Dogs are everywhere here – roaming the streets and parks and meandering in the traffic without a care in the world. It’s as if they own the place! Locally they’re known as “Quiltro” and viewed as communal dogs, regularly fed and cared for by the locals. We came across these cute doggie houses in Parque Forestal in the centre of town – the residents were already out for the day.
